Formula & ingredients
What the two formulas contain and how they differ.
What is Geroprotect®?
Geroprotect® is a two-formula food-supplement system. Essentials I and Essentials II each list 13 active ingredients in defined amounts, for 26 listed actives across both labelled servings. The formulas do not use a proprietary blend, so each amount can be inspected before purchase.
The number of ingredients describes the composition; it does not prove that the finished formulas slow aging, extend lifespan or treat a medical condition.
How are Essentials I and Essentials II different?
Essentials I is anchored by NMN and includes Urolithin A, spermidine and apigenin among its 13 actives. Essentials II is anchored by nicotinamide riboside (NR) and includes L-ergothioneine, TUDCA and other distinct actives.
They are separate formulas with different ingredient profiles—not two colours of the same product. See the complete ingredient list and amount per serving on the Formula & Ingredients page.
Can I take Essentials I and Essentials II together?
Essentials I contains NMN (450 mg per labelled serving), while Essentials II contains NR (480 mg per labelled serving). Both are NAD+ precursors. Short human studies have examined each precursor—including doses above these amounts—and generally found them well tolerated in the specific populations and time periods studied. Those studies do not establish long-term safety for everyone or prove that combining NMN and NR adds benefit.
At their respective labelled servings, the two formulas list 26 active ingredients. That is a broader ingredient profile, but the finished two-formula system has not been tested in a randomised human trial and has not been shown to extend lifespan or improve a clinical outcome. If you intend to use both, ask a clinician or pharmacist to review the full ingredient list, especially if you take medication, have a health condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a procedure planned.

Why list every active ingredient and amount?
A defined amount lets customers, clinicians and pharmacists assess the formula directly. It also makes comparisons and interaction checks possible. A proprietary blend may state only a combined total, which can hide the amount of each component.
Transparency is not the same as efficacy: a clearly stated amount still needs to be interpreted against the quality and limits of the relevant research.
Are the finished Geroprotect formulas clinically proven?
No randomised human trial has tested either complete 13-active formula or the combined 26-active system for lifespan or a clinical outcome. Some individual ingredients have human data; others are supported mainly by observational, animal, cell or mechanistic research.
Results for one ingredient cannot automatically be transferred to a multi-ingredient product. The dedicated Science section separates those evidence types and links the deeper sources.
Frequently asked questions
How to take it
Current serving directions, food timing and missed doses.
How should I take Geroprotect®?
Follow the current label for the specific formula you use. Essentials I and Essentials II each currently list a suggested use of six tablets daily per formula. Do not exceed six tablets per day of either individual formula.
This is not a six-tablet maximum for the two-formula bundle: the two labels each describe their own serving. A separate combined maximum has not been clinically established. If you plan to use both formulas, have the full ingredient list and schedule reviewed by a clinician or pharmacist.
Do I need to increase the dose gradually or taper it down?
There is no clinical evidence that gradually increasing or tapering this multi-ingredient supplement prevents receptor or pathway “desensitisation.” We therefore do not recommend a start-or-stop schedule on that basis.
Use the labelled serving unless a qualified clinician who knows your medicines and health history advises a different schedule. Do not exceed the label.
Should I take the tablets with food?
Take the tablets with water and follow the directions on the current package. Essentials II lists 240 mg EGCG per labelled serving. Taking it with food is the conservative choice because human fed-versus-fasted research on standardised green-tea catechin preparations—not on Geroprotect—found substantially greater EGCG exposure when fasted, and safety assessments identify fasting as a potential risk factor for concentrated catechin preparations.
If your current package gives different directions, or you have a condition affecting absorption or digestion, ask a clinician or pharmacist before use.
Context: fed-versus-fasted human study · EFSA green-tea catechin assessment
What should I do if I miss a dose?
Do not double the next dose to make up for missed tablets. Resume the normal labelled schedule. If a clinician has given you a personalised schedule, follow that advice instead.
Frequently asked questions
Safety & suitability
Who should seek advice and why ingredient interactions matter.
Who should speak with a healthcare professional before use?
Ask a qualified clinician or pharmacist before use if you take prescription or over-the-counter medicines, have a medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are under 18, or have surgery or another procedure planned.
Stop use and seek medical advice if you develop an unexpected or concerning reaction. Food supplements are not substitutes for medical care or a varied diet.
Can Geroprotect ingredients interact with medicines?
Yes. The formulas contain biologically active ingredients with potential interactions. Examples include nattokinase with anticoagulant or antiplatelet medicines; berberine with several drug-metabolism and transport pathways; EGCG/green-tea catechins in people with liver concerns; and genistein in some thyroid or hormone-sensitive contexts.
This is not a complete interaction list. Bring the full formula and amounts to a clinician or pharmacist who can check them against your medicines and health history.
How quickly should I expect to notice an effect?
There is no evidence-based timeline for the finished formulas, and no effect can be guaranteed. Ingredient studies vary widely in dose, duration, population and endpoint; many measure biomarkers rather than how a person feels or a clinical outcome.
A claim that everyone should notice benefits after a fixed number of weeks or months would go beyond the available evidence.
Is Geroprotect suitable for everyone?
No supplement is suitable for everyone. Whether either formula is appropriate depends on age, health history, medication, diet and individual risk. The complete label and ingredient amounts should guide the decision—not a universal “anti-aging” promise.
Frequently asked questions
Quality & testing
How to read purity, testing records and scientific evidence.
What does “high-purity ingredient” mean?
Purity is a material specification: it describes how much of the tested raw material matches the stated compound under the method used. Identity, assay, contaminants, microbiology and other checks may be reported separately.
A purity percentage does not by itself show absorption, safety or clinical benefit. Those are different questions requiring different evidence.
Where can I see COAs and certifications?
Available records are organised on the COA and Certification page. Check the document title, material or product, batch or lot, test date, method and issuing laboratory before drawing a conclusion.
An ingredient certificate is not automatically a finished-product batch certificate. The archive states its scope so customers can see what each document does—and does not—verify.
What does “third-party tested” mean?
Third-party testing means a laboratory independent of the seller performs specified analyses. The value of the result depends on what was sampled, which tests were run, the method, date and batch connection.
Use the published document itself to verify scope rather than treating the phrase as a guarantee of clinical effectiveness.
Where can I review the science behind the ingredients?
Use the dedicated Science section for evidence categories, limitations, safety context and primary sources. The Geroprotect Blog provides longer ingredient reviews that retain positive, null and conflicting findings.
The simple Formula page remains the quickest place to check all 26 ingredients and labelled amounts.
